My husband Paul and I recently had our first experience with purchasing real estate when we bought a home in Lake County. Having literally no idea about the process of buying a home, while we expected it to be somewhat involved we had no idea it could at times be so complicated, stressful, confusing and in a word, overwhelming. Fortunately, we had Cheri Farrell as our agent because without her, I doubt we would now be homeowners.
Cheri was helpful in so many ways it is hard to know where to start but I will try, I just hope I don’t leave anything out; she deserves more praise than I can give.
First of all, it was sheer luck that we met Cheri, it started with a random call to her office regarding a home for sale. She answered our initial questions in a courteous and thorough manner without any pressure whatsoever which was a pleasant surprise. We were also impressed by her willingness to help us find a home despite the fact we had a very limited budget. She showed us every home we wanted to see in our price range with unwavering patience, and supported us in every way possible when we did decide to make an offer on one of the homes.
I will spare the details but suffice it to say we did not end up purchasing that home, and my husband and I were both disappointed and discouraged. Without Cheri’s genuine support and encouragement we probably would not have attempted to buy another home anytime in the near future, yet with her help we were able to do just that not even a month later.
We have some unique and personal details to our financial situation but Cheri was never judgmental or critical in any way, and I can’t even begin to express how much that was appreciated.
So far I have only touched upon aspects of the kindness of her character which is of course wonderful in itself but her real estate knowledge and professionalism is equally important from a business perspective. I know we could not have been her only clients but she treated us as if we were, always returning calls promptly, keeping us updated every step of the way and in general just keeping the lines of communication open and flowing in all directions which helped decrease our stress level as much as possible.
In conclusion, Cheri Farrell is a true asset to the real estate world, and I hope this letter helps gain her the appreciation and respect she so thoroughly deserves.
